How a typical heating system works
Most heating systems warm houses to an overall temperature with radiators either ‘all on’ or ‘all off’. Heat distribution is controlled by one thermostat, which means radiators can come on in unused rooms or can be left cold when the thermostat reaches the desired temperature. Even when TRVs are closed the boiler will still consume energy.

With JG Aura Wireless TRVs and smart thermostats, each room can have its own heating schedule and unique temperature setting. When the desired temperature is reached the system remotely switches the boiler off. It can also be programmed to only heat rooms when they are in use.
